Weekly Update: December 18, 2024
Word from the Pastor:
I pray this newsletter finds you doing well. What I do know is that you are enjoying more predictable weather than I am. As I said before, I do love the little bit of Midwest cold I get to experience even though it causes my travel to be less than predictable (I also love that I get to leave it and come back home to Texas).
Anway, I just wanted to drop a thought to you all: We are approaching our last Sunday of Advent in which we will bring our story of Ruth to an end. We have talked about God working even when it feels like we have been abandoned. Last week we talked about the way God works in the ordinariness of life and the importance of risk. This coming week we will get to glimpse God's faithfulness in bringing about his will and our salvation through unlikely means and messengers. We will see how we can so easily miss it, when we lock God into small boxes. I want to encourage you as we approach Sunday to take a few minutes and identify times in your life when God's faithfulness was evident.
Have a great week and we'll see you Sunday!
